What happens if I purchase a piece without a makers mark stamp?

The reason some pieces may not have a makers mark is due to their fragility, thinness and window of malleable tactility being too fine in the making process. Some pieces may have one but may could be unclear depending on the clay body or glaze application.

An official signed Certificate of Authenticity will be issued with the name, ‘f.’ number, alongside signature & date.

Overly delicate pots

Unfortunately some works may be too delicate for any form of transit from a delivery service and may require a local pick up/drop off. This will be at no additional cost. For drop-off, this requires to be within postcodes beginning with:

SE / EC / E / N (London)
(exceptions may be made for SW/W/NW)

Care of pottery / Staining (Patina)

All pots without a gloss glaze surface are prone to staining.

Visiting the Studio

Sometimes you may want to see collections in person before purchasing - physically picking up a vessel is a crucial part of falling in love with a particular ceramic and we would love to offer this to you. Please enquire about a private viewing hosted by Luke & we look to participate in yearly ‘open studios’ at Thames-Side Studios.
